At Lulu and Max we offer after school care, before school care and holiday programmes; we are also OSCAR accredited.

Yes, we are solely set up as an out of school care facility BUT if you take a closer look, we are so much more than that… We are a ‘home away from home’ for both your child and your whãnau, offering a place where you can belong and be part of our Lulu and Max family too. We value whanaungatanga, and build our relationships with our tamariki through shared experiences that involve lots of creativity, exploration and laughter.

At Lulu and Max we want to ensure that we are offering a programme that is child-centred and based off their interests, so we tailor our programme to do just this. At the same time, we are intentional about planning and providing an environment and experiences that help to grow and challenge our tamariki – teaching them about responsibility, fostering their independence, their sense of who they are, developing life skills, empowering them and most importantly nurturing their well-being.

We believe that in order for our tamariki to be able to do this they need lots of time to PLAY and be involved in rich real-life experiences, especially in nature and the outdoors. Naturally children are curious beings so we understand that their learning is not confined to any particular time or place.
